Take 300 of your friends on the ultimate holiday on this 135m boutique vessel

Wherever she goes, the 135-metre luxury liner Minerva demands attention. From the outside, her impressive stature and classic lines are what set her apart out from the crowds. But anyone who’s lucky enough to step on board will find a wealth of amenities designed for rest, recreation and relaxation.

As Minerva joined the market with PrivatSea, BOAT takes the opportunity to step on board and discover what this unique vessel has to offer.

She is a multi-purpose vessel

Minerva’s status as a boutique cruise vessel means she can be used in a variety of ways. With space for up to 300 guests in 190 suites, as well as four lounges and four restaurants and bar areas, Minerva can easily serve as a floating hotel or unique events space. There is even enough space to host an events team, with caterers and entertainers.

For prospective buyers, her eight-deck set-up could be adapted in a number of ways. With the help of PrivatSea and the firm’s own Talos Shipyard in Greece, Minerva can be refitted to match any style and operational need. The yard is very familiar with the technically-sound cruise liner after refreshing her interior during her 2018 refit and, as one of the largest yards in the Eastern Mediterranean, can offer quality services in a secure environment at competitive rates.

Minerva could also be used as a support vessel, hosting extra crew with facilities for a helicopter hub and tender area. For owners wanting to keep a happy crew and improve traditionally small crew living areas, a vessel such as Minerva could provide excellent accommodation and top-of-the-range entertainment areas for any team needing hotel facilities. For the business-minded owner, Minerva could also work as a unique office HQ where the number of outdoor spaces, ocean views and luxury amenities would guarantee a happy and successful working environment.

Featuring 44 stunning suites and 146 comfortable cabins…

Minerva is one of the few boutique vessels carrying 44 guest suites and 146 cabins, with four of her eight decks dedicated to accommodation. The range of rooms available includes spacious balcony suites, deluxe outside cabins and comfortable inside cabins.

The suites are all located between the sun deck and the bridge deck, where 44 suites feature private balconies measuring up to 34-square-metres each. Inside the suites, guests will find mirrored vanities and chairs, spacious drawer and hanging spaces, safes, mini-fridges, TV, telephones, bathrobes and hair dryers. In terms of en-suite facilities, the suites located on the boat’s port side have glass-enclosed bathtubs, while those on the starboard side have glass-enclosed showers.

On the Aegean deck, a further 56 cabins have large windows looking outside, while a further 46 cabins are positioned to the interior. Below on the Baltic deck, a similar layout applies, with 44 cabins covering an average of 13 square metres each featuring two portholes, and the remaining 46 cabins facing the inside of the vessel. All of these cabins are equipped with shower rooms and twin beds that can be converted into a double.

Four relaxing restaurants and lounges…

Included in Minerva’s list of first-class facilities are her lounges, bars and restaurants. Minerva offers many spacious areas to suit any mood. There are quiet corners to read a book and enjoy a cup of tea, do a puzzle, play a board game or relax and listen to music. The largest lounge on board is the Orpheus Lounge on the top deck, named the promenade deck, where up to 145 guests can gather with full panoramic views and access to the outdoors and the furniture for sunbathing and lounging.

The main deck is dominated by the Darwin lounge, the conservatory-style Shackleton Bar and the Swam restaurant. Up above on the bridge deck, guests will find the vessel’s second restaurant, the Verandah buffet, another bar and lounge, the swimming pool, as well as the internet lounge and a 5,000-volume library.

… And essential at-sea amenities

If the lounges and food and drink options aren’t enough, guests of Minerva can make use of some of the vessel’s other luxury amenities. The promenade deck has been designed to allow enough space for walking or jogging, while the card room is the ideal size for an intimate game of poker or bridge. Minerva’s gym is fully equipped and the onboard wellness centre is the perfect place to be pampered by beauticians, who can offer a range of massages and skin and hair treatments. For any particular health concerns, there is a doctor’s office and medical clinic located on the Baltic deck.
