After a smooth and successful build process, the brand-new 22.45-metre Equiessence was handed to her happy owner recently in Fort Lauderdale. Here, we get a look inside the champagne christening party hosted by Outer Reef Yachts.

The yacht

Equiessence is the latest 22.45-metre M Class 740 Deluxbridge™ motor yacht from Outer Reef Yachts built in Taiwan and delivered to her owner during the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in October 2021. She can reach a maximum speed of 19 knots.

The owner

Equiessence is superyacht owner Susan S.’ second build with the American builders.

The ceremony

Taking place during the 2021 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, a traditional champagne ceremony took place to celebrate the completion of the new yacht.

The guests

Owner Susan S. invited numerous family, friends and the Outer Reef team to raise a glass to Equiessence. "For months we work side-by-side with the client to ensure their yacht is impeccably tailored to their yachting aspirations. However, handing over a new Outer Reef once she is finalised, as we see it, is only the beginning of a lifelong relationship,” said Outer Reef President and CEO Jeff Druek.

The interiors

Designed by Outer Reef’s in-house designer, the new long-range cruiser’s interiors feature a seating area in the main saloon with an L-shaped sofa, teak cabinetry and wall panelling and air conditioning. Nearby is a large country-kitchen style galley with a central island, full kitchen amenities and additional seating.

The staterooms

The owner is provided with a full-beam master suite situated midship, a walk-in wardrobe, an en-suite bathroom and a built-in vanity area. Other staterooms include a VIP forward and a final guest room to port – all have en-suites.

The skylounge and sundeck

The owner of Equiessence opted to include a spacious skylounge, creating an air temperature-controlled environment protected from the weather during casual cruising or long-range excursions. The skylounge is often used as a family activity space or an office area.
