History of Hanse Yachts

Luxury sailing yacht builder HanseYachts was founded in 1990 as a service yard in Germany’s Greifswald region on the coast of the Baltic Sea. The shipyard, which launched its first new sailing yacht model in 1993, is the original company in the Hanse Group, which slowly acquired other European luxury sailing yacht and motor yacht builders, culminating with the purchase of Sealine motor yachts in 2013.

Sailing yacht builder HanseYachts has collaborated with well-known international yacht designers, including Bill Dixon, Patrick Banfield and Judel/Vrolijk & Co. on the design of their popular sailing yacht models.
