Technogym
For over 35 years Technogym has been committed to promoting wellness, a lifestyle based on regular physical exercise, a balanced diet and a positive mental attitude.
Typically-Italian, its roots lie deep in the ancient Roman saying “mens sana in corpore sano” with an innate ability to combine business and social responsibility.
In 1983, President and Founder Nerio Alessandri at the age of 22 designed and built his very first piece of gym equipment in his garage in Cesena, Italy. Today Technogym is the world’s leading brand of products, digital technologies and services for fitness, sport and health. The company now employs over 2300 people, half of whom work at Technogym Village, the wellness campus in Cesena, and the rest at the 14 subsidiaries in Europe, the United States, Asia, the Middle East, Australia and South America. Every day 55 million people train with Technogym in 85.000 Wellness centers and 400.000private homes in over 100 Countries.
Innovation has always been the driving force behind the growth of Technogym, anticipating industry firsts and trends over the years: from its 1996 launch of the first software in the fitness industry, to the launch of the first internet-connected equipment in 2006, to premiering the first cloud based industry platform in 2012, and the recent launch of Technogym Live, the on-demand video training platform dedicated to fitness, sport and prevention. Together with innovation, design represents another distinctive trait of Technogym which, over the years, has won over 50 international design awards such as the Compasso d'Oro and the Red Dot Design Award.
Technogym’s offer – allowing people to connect to their personal training experience anytime and anywhere: at home, at the gym, at work, at hotels, at the doctor and even outdoor, Technogym’s offer is shaped around the Technogym Ecosystem, a real ecosystem that includes connected smart equipment, mobile apps for both final users and operators, as well as highly personalised on-demand training content.
