Inside the Ocean Alexander East Coast Rendezvous
The Ocean Alexander East Coast Rendezvous, held on 4-7 April 2024, brought together 11 Ocean Alexander owners for a memorable weekend at Valentine’s Marina and Resort on Harbour Island, The Bahamas. With an "Olympics in Paris" theme, the event saw 10 Ocean Alexander yachts in attendance, including three 37L models, a 35R, a 34-metre motor yacht, a 32L, a 30R, a 25.9-metre motor yacht and a 70E. Additionally, the shipyard's latest model, the 35-metre Puro, made a grand appearance following her debut at the Palm Beach International Boat Show 2024.
“Our rendezvous events help to foster a sense of camaraderie and shared passion for yachting and the Ocean Alexander brand,” says Dan Mundy, head of global operations at Ocean Alexander. “The event was meticulously organised, with a range of activities that catered to different interests, from fishing charters to SEABOB demos and elegant gourmet dining experiences.”
The welcome reception
On Thursday evening, guests were treated to a welcome reception on board Puro. The gathering featured an array of delicious food and drinks, providing the perfect opportunity for attendees to mingle and get acquainted with fellow Ocean Alexander owners.
The island charter
On Friday, guests had the opportunity to embark on a family-friendly island charter full of adventure and exploration. Participants had the opportunity to swim with sea turtles and visit to the famous Bahamas Pig Beach.
The beach day
Friday also included a family-friendly beach day, where guests enjoyed delicious food and drinks while a DJ set the mood to the day. The beach was equipped with swings and there was a Seabob experience.
Dinner at The Other Side
Friday evening culminated in a dinner at The Other Side where there was a single long table accommodating 90 guests. The sounds of steel drums served as the perfect soundtrack to a relaxing evening.
The fishing charter
Saturday’s activities kicked off with a fishing trip in which guests of ages could participate. This event provided an opportunity for attendees to try their hand at fishing in the pristine waters of the Bahamas.
