As industry names and yachting enthusiasts flocked to the sunny climes of Miami for the Miami International Boat Show in February, there’s one attending yacht that stood out from the crowd.

The 31.2-metre 32E from Ocean Alexander is the yard’s “latest and greatest” creation with long-term collaborator and designer, Evan K Marshall. With four units in build and two nearing delivery, the 32E yacht combines the most successful elements of the existing Ocean Alexander 28E and 30R models, with many fresh features for an owning family to enjoy.

What’s inside the yacht can be best seen in person, however, for those who will miss out, here is a breakdown of the top features on board the new Ocean Alexander 32E.

Style and space

The stylish exterior is a notable characteristic of Evan K Marshall’s numerous designs for Ocean Alexander. On the inside, the designer has opted for open-plan living spaces that can be used for everything from quiet relaxing, afternoon tea, movie screenings, five-star dining and sundown cocktails. The living areas include a dining room for up to 10 guests, a comfortable lounge area and a high-spec galley. A key part of the main deck, the galley is large enough for guests to socialise around the central island for intimate cooking sessions.

The exterior decks are also multifunctional, particularly the aft deck which can be used to store water toys with room to spare. The nearby utility room has storage for the likes of watersports, fishing, beachwear and BBQ equipment, making this yacht perfectly suited to active families who like adventure, angling and family-style cookouts. On the bridge deck, the wet-bar island is the perfect place to end the day and enjoy the stars from one of the exterior lounge spaces.

Comfort for long journeys

As well as being powerful, high performing and efficient, the Ocean Alexander 32E is perfectly equipped for travelling for long periods of time. A key contribution to guests’ comfort is the large floor-to-ceiling windows that let in natural light to keep the interiors bright and airy. The choice of interior furniture and finishes includes white oak flooring and upscale carpets and upholstery – all of which can be customised to suit the yacht’s owner.

Luxury staterooms

The large windows are also present in the design for each of the five staterooms onboard. With two doubles and two twin rooms on the lower deck, each guest’s private sanctuary is somewhere to relax and enjoy the ever-changing vistas through the frameless windows. The owner is granted the main-deck master suite, which stretches across the entire 6.7-metre beam and features seating and desk areas, walk-in wardrobes and an en-suite bathroom with a freestanding Jacuzzi bathtub.
