What not to miss at the 2021 Monaco Yacht Show

13 August 2021 • Written by Laura Nicholls for the Monaco Yacht Show

This September, some of the biggest names in the industry are set to gather to showcase their latest masterpieces as part of the revamped 2021 Monaco Yacht Show. If you're heading to Port Hercules in September to get in on the action, here are just some of the key sections of the show to look out for.

Yacht Design & Innovation Hub

This year, a brand-new exhibition area is to be launched at the Monaco Yacht Show. Dedicated to design and innovative solutions in superyachting, the Yacht Design & Innovation Hub is where future charterers and yacht owners can meet a selection of designers. Here, guests will be able to see the work of designers and learn how a superyacht is designed from a blank sheet of paper – perfect for the new generation of owners who are interested in the new-build yacht sector.

During the show, designers will hold 15-minute talks about design in yachting, their personal experiences and yacht projects. All this can be found on Louis Chiron in Port Hercule, inside the show’s new Dockside area.

The superyachts

More than 300 exhibitors and 60 superyachts with an average length of 49 metres are set to participate in this year's Monaco Yacht Show, organisers have confirmed. 37 of the attending superyachts are new deliveries that will make their world debut. The line-up will come from builders such as Benetti, Feadship, Lürssen, Oceanco and Sanlorenzo and include the yachts Blue II, Synthesis, Artefact and Moskito.

The Captains' & Crew Lounge Lounge

The C&C Lounge is the place to be for captains and crew members during the Monaco Yacht Show. Hosted by Dockwalk and manned by BOAT International staff, the lounge is a relaxing space with entertainment, games, refreshments, WiFi access and a wellness area away from the hustle and bustle of the show.  A breakfast and lunch service is also offered. To gain access to the C&C Lounge, register here.

Sapphire Experience

The Monaco Yacht Show is offering special guests of the show a tailor-made visit experience named the Sapphire Experience. Offering a programme of activities operated by the MYS concierge service for interested in chartering or purchasing a yacht, guests can expect visits to some of the most outstanding superyachts at the show, meetings with leading yacht designers or builders, invitations to gala evenings and private cocktails aboard the yachts, a luxury tender ride off the Monaco bay and a courtesy car service, and more.

Tenders and Toys

Within the Tenders & Toys area, exhibitors will help visitors choose the perfect extras to any superyacht. At least 50 superyacht tenders will be available for purchase or for sea trials at the show ranging from those suitable for high-speed adventures on the water to day trips with the family.

Car Deck

The luxury car and motorbike exhibition, known as the Car Deck, is where visitors can find a fleet of at least 30 vintage and customised cars plus a selection of bespoke motorbikes that are available for purchase and test-drives during the Monaco Yacht Show.
