There are yachts that age gracefully, and then there are yachts that are reborn. The striking 60-metre Oceanco motor yacht Alfa G falls firmly into the latter category. Built in 2004 for none other than the previous owner of the Dutch shipyard itself, she was a yacht born of expertise, knowledge and uncompromising standards. Two decades later, a complete rebuild in 2024 has transformed her into a show-stopper for the 21st century - one that has just received a major $4 million price reduction to her sales listing with Superyacht Partners.
Her transformation was so significant that she was awarded Best Refitted Yacht at the World Superyacht Awards 2025. From her striking new exterior to her thoroughly reimagined interiors, Alfa G no longer feels like a yacht built in 2004, but a brand-new vessel prepared for the demands of modern ownership.
A bold new look
Alfa G’s rebuild included a complete exterior restyle. Now sporting a shiny black hull with a bold red stripe, a new mast and fresh teak decking throughout, she cuts a commanding presence on the water. The crew even use a reverse osmosis plant to keep her freshly painted hull gleaming after every wash-down.
“The extensive renovation was held in collaboration with Oceanco and G&K Yachting S.A., with all systems overhauled and the most modern technologies implemented,” says her broker, Matt Albert. “All technical systems have been fully modernised, eliminating the prospect of anything other than discretionary CapEx over the next season.”
Albert adds: “With new construction prices at an all-time high, this exceptional pedigree motor yacht, technically updated and upgraded with all new modern systems, represents an excellent opportunity for a discerning buyer.”
Reimagined interiors
Alfa G’s original interiors were the work of London-based Winch Design, but French designer Alexandre Thiriat has now reimagined the spaces while cleverly sticking to the original Winch DNA. Step inside, and her 1,184GT of internal volume showcases a classic black and white palette, punctuated by warm gold accents and pops of red that echo her exterior. Custom furnishings, authentic art pieces and floor lighting lend a modern atmosphere.
The main saloon is complete with a grand piano and a semi-private dining area divided by a large structural feature. The skylounge doubles as a cinema, with full blackout blinds, reclinable chairs and a 96-inch projector screen, while the aft upper deck dining area has become a guest favourite thanks to circular glass doors that create an indoor/outdoor experience. Here, formal dinners can give way to casual lounging on the aft deck as the evening unfolds, all with a view to the sea.
A master suite like no other
Alfa G accommodates up to 18 guests across six cabins, with flexible configurations to suit different parties. At the heart of it all is the 96-square-metre duplex master suite on the main deck, spanning her full 10.5-metre beam. The space is anchored by his-and-hers bathrooms, complete with a steam shower, a generous walk-in wardrobe, a vanity and a sofa. A partition wall can be closed off to create an entirely private sleeping area. Forward, a separate observation lounge with 180-degree panoramic views leads directly to the foredeck, offering the perfect spot for a morning coffee or evening cocktail with the horizon stretched out ahead.
On the lower deck, the full-beam VIP suite offers a king-size bed, a pullman berth, ample storage and a desk, accompanied by an 83-inch OLED 4K TV. Two additional double staterooms sit to starboard, while to port, twin cabins, each with a pullman berth, complete the guest layout. There are separate crew quarters on the lower deck forward for a team of 18.
Life on deck
A standout onboard area is up on the sundeck. Aft, adjustable dining tables can be arranged as one long banquet-style setup or split into smaller groups, while two oversized “cocoons” with windbreaks create sheltered spots to relax. A fully stocked bar and barbecue setup make this a natural gathering place, and when needed, the aft terrace doubles as a touch-and-go helipad.
Amidships, a fully equipped gym ensures fitness never has to be sacrificed at sea, while forward lies one of Alfa G’s true showpieces: a spectacular swimming pool with a counter-current training system and Jacuzzi function. Surrounded by a wide expanse of sunpads, it’s an area designed for long, unhurried afternoons, whether hosting a lively party or simply soaking in the quietness of the ocean.
Built for adventure
Behind the glamour lies serious technical capability. Alfa G is built to Lloyd’s class and is MCA-compliant, always maintained to commercial standards, making her an attractive proposition for buyers considering charter. Powered by two Caterpillar 3512B DITA diesel engines, she cruises at 12 knots and can reach a maximum speed of 15 knots, all while offering an impressive 5,600-nautical-mile range. Her brand-new Caterpillar generators, fibre optic cabling running from mast to bridge and thoroughly modernised systems ensure she is as future-proof as any new build.
Fresh from her award-winning refit, Alfa G will be on display at berth C19 at the Monaco Yacht Show 2025, offering prospective buyers the chance to step on board and experience her transformation firsthand. She is currently asking $45 million with Superyacht Partners.
