When asked to explore how far the Amels 60 could be reimagined for interior thinking, the Italian design maestro responded with a glimpse into the future.
Featuring nature, erosion and advanced aerospace design, his imaginings eschew conventional construction in favour of fluid exploration. Walls, ceilings and openings flow into one another rather than meeting through rigid intersections. Light becomes a primary architectural element. Shaped by erosion, framed by technology, it is both a reversion back to basics and an advancement into space.
“Throughout, the aim is not a cold futurism, but an emotional vision of tomorrow,” he explains. “Human-centred, calming and instinctively elegant.” The result is a comforting and human-centred atmosphere awash with soft lunar greys, warm metallic tones, sculptural forms and reflective finishes.
