Yacht for sale: This unique Riva 90' Argo is pure elegance on the water

27 April 2023 • Written by Emma Bamford for Allied Marine

The colour of this Riva 90' Argo gives a clue to her name, Kiyomizu, meaning “pure water” in Japanese – because where the 28.5-metre Argos are often silver, her hull is painted in Riva's proprietary colour "Pure White".

The Italian brand Riva chose a contemporary design for its new generation of flybridge yachts, with sporty lines in a wide-body design, which is shared between Rivas 90 Argo, 102 Corsaro Super, and 110 Dolcevita. Accommodation is for eight guests in four cabins, with a layout that is set up for lots of socialising while still giving plenty of opportunity for privacy.

Here, we take a closer look at some of this yacht's standout features:

Getting together

In this sixth hull, built in 2020, the white of the GRP hull was carried over into her interior and exterior décor, extending the idea of purity. Two decks provide 102 square metres of outdoor space, divided into distinct areas. The teak-laid main deck aft enjoys a highly social layout, shaded by the upper deck overhang, of two outdoor sofas facing each other across a coffee or dining table, perfect for sundowner aperitivi, family games or al fresco dining.

Flying high

Up a level, on the flybridge, the space is, again, highly convivial. There’s another table – a good spot for breakfast or a casual lunch – and a sit-up bar. The bar is well kitted out, with three custom drinks fridges. Giant, custom-made, U-shaped seating – once more in snowy white – loops around the whole aft of this area, perfect for bringing the party on board or keeping the family together.

“The flybridge aft lounge is a unique feature,” says the yacht’s broker Chris Coughlin from Allied Marine. “It was done so well that the Ferretti Group, Riva’s parent, is considering incorporating the design into a future model.”

A walkway connects the bridge to the bow, so coffees or cocktails can be delivered by the crew to sunpads here. Guests wanting some time away from the main action will be drawn to this quiet spot which is primed for sunbathing and catching the sea breeze.

For when the party moves to the water, there’s a well-stocked toybox, with room for a four-metre Williams 395 tender and a Seadoo RXT-X in the double garage, plus a Seabob, foil and swim mat.

Relaxing interior

The 138-square-metre interior is bright and contemporary. The large, window-lined main deck saloon offers a relaxed seating area with plenty of space for sectional sofas and chairs and dining for eight. A full-width master suite forward on the main deck has a central bed, sofa and dressing table that doubles as an office workstation, with an array of windows bringing in a lot of light. Classic marble is mixed with modern styling in the step-down master en suite, which offers a walk-in shower. There are three further guest cabins comprising two doubles and a twin that converts to a double.

Riva’s attention to detail and stunning craftsmanship is evident in everything from the impeccable detailing in the leather upholstery to the super-smooth handrails and the flush-button instrument panels at the inside helm station.

Power comes from two 1,948hp MTU 12V engines, with only 515 engine hours clocked, giving a sporty top planing speed of 26 knots and a range of 320 nautical miles at a more restrained 22 knots. Zero speed fins and seakeepers keep things steady at anchor and and while running on plane.

For sale

Upgrades are numerous, including extended engine warranties and ceramic coating, and Allied Marine says Kiyomizu is in “pristine condition”.

“It is quite a unique opportunity,” Coughlin adds. “The owner is regrettably offering the vessel for sale due to his priorities shifting to a growing family. For this reason, the crew may be willing to stay with the boat after the sale.”

Kiyomizu is asking $6,895,000 via Allied Marine and is lying in Miami, Florida. Get in touch directly with Allied Marine to find out more about this opportunity.
