While the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show may seem like it was mere weeks ago, the spring boat shows in Palm Beach and Miami are just around the corner. If you’re new to the shows or haven’t yet bought your tickets for the 2018 editions yet, now is the perfect time. Need more convincing? Here are some of the highlights you can expect this year…
Miami Yacht Show
Celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2018, the Miami Yacht Show will take place from February 15-19 and kick off another exciting year of boating events. Formerly known as Yachts Miami Beach, the show will cover over 1.2 million square feet and promises to attract a huge 500 yachts and boats, including the invitation only Superyacht Miami area showcasing some of the world’s finest and largest yachts.
This year the Miami Yacht Show is introducing a new VIP experience offering access to an exclusive waterfront lounge nestled in the heart of the show. As well as an open bar, refreshments and concierge service within the lounge, VIP passholders will also be granted entry to the Watches & Wonders Miami exhibition offering an exclusive look at timepieces from more than 20 of the world’s leading fine watchmakers, along with the Mastery of Time virtual reality experience.
“We are excited to welcome guests, exhibitors and sponsors to an event that has been elevated on many fronts,” said Mary Bender, vice president of marketing for Informa, the show’s producer and co-owner. “The new VIP Experience complements our recent rebranding of the show, formerly known as Yachts Miami Beach, to reflect its uniquely beautiful location and special appeal among yacht shows worldwide.”
Palm Beach International Boat Show
Taking place from March 22-25 in downtown West Palm Beach, the Palm Beach International Boat Show will play host to hundreds of boats ranging from tenders to superyachts over 90 metres in length. The total value of this year’s participating yachts is expected to exceed $1.2 billion truly making it one of the world’s greatest boat shows.
“The Palm Beach International Boat Show is known to attract high level boat buyers and charter clients,” said Bender. “The show is set during an ideal time of year and is adjacent to one of the most affluent zip codes in the world.”
Alongside the yachts, visitors will be able to enhance their experience with the VIP Experience which includes access to the show and to the VIP lounge. The lounge has the luxury of a private space offering a place to relax away for the bustle of the show and enjoy food and refreshments.
