Miami-based advisory firm Ikonic Yachts has announced a new partnership with Dutch boat builder Lekker Boats to represent the brand's Lekker 44 and Lekker 45 dayboats throughout the US.
The new collaboration marks the builder's official move into the American market, bringing its aluminium boat designs from Europe to US buyers for the first time.
Ikonic Yachts will present the 13.5-metre Lekker 44 and the new 13.7-metre build, the Lekker 45, to the market. Both boats are constructed in lightweight aluminium, the latter of which is presented as a "significant evolution" of the brand's platform, offering 20 per cent more interior space than its predecessor and a larger, 1.6-metre swim platform.
"We are thrilled to partner with Lekker Boats and bring their exceptional vessels to the American market," said AJ Blackmon, CEO of Ikonic Yachts. "Lekker has built an outstanding reputation in Europe for creating aluminium performance dayboats that perfectly blend speed, comfort and stunning design. These boats are ideally suited for the South Florida and Bahamas market, where their shallow draft, fuel efficiency and entertaining-focused layouts really shine."
Blackmon continued: "We're also seeing tremendous interest from the superyacht community, as the Lekker 44 and 45 make exceptional yacht tenders. They're fast enough to keep up with motherships, tough enough for daily use and stylish enough to complement any luxury yacht. This partnership allows us to offer our clients something truly unique in the American market."
Meindert Wolfraad, CEO and founder of Lekker Boats, added: “What makes this partnership special is the genuine alignment in how we think about boating and the people we serve. As a boutique shipyard producing a limited number of boats each year, we prioritise a personal, design-led approach tailored to each owner. Ikonic brings that same down-to-earth energy and individualised service to their brokerage, and the connection between our teams felt natural from the very beginning. It was immediately clear that we share the same philosophy and energy when it comes to boating and client relationships.”
The Lekker 45 is scheduled for delivery in October 2025, while the Lekker 44 is presented as the 2024 unit, Parallax.
