Each week, BOAT International shines a spotlight on the standout yachts available for charter around the world. This week, we take a closer look at the charter credentials of the brand new 55-metre Italian Sea Group, Raja², which is days away from delivery ahead of her inaugural charter season in the Eastern Mediterranean and Middle East…
Powerful, contemporary and… Gold. With delivery imminent, Raja²'s charter credentials are bound to cause a stir this charter season. The 55-metre is part of the S-Force 55 series and the sistership to Geco, which was delivered in 2020 (also for charter with IYC). She boasts the same sporty profile as well as a similar metallic paint job that the Italian Sea Group has become well known for in recent years, with the likes of Kenshō and This is It (which is more window than paint job, but still metallic).
Raja² was designed entirely by The Italian Sea Group’s in-house Style Centre, but was also managed by IYC and Med Waves Charters. The design, therefore, is charter-centric and encompasses everything one could possibly need or want during their onboard experience.

Why charter Raja²?
Chartering Raja² is a marriage of contemporary design with comfort. The striking 55-metre yacht for charter exemplifies Italian craftsmanship with its blend of bold maximalism and elegant touches, featuring a rich interior palette. Vast deck spaces, including a signature open-stern beach club and a sundeck equipped with a Jacuzzi, allow guests to soak up the experience out on deck, while benefiting from good access to the water and a long list of water toys.
Accommodating up to 12 guests across six cabins, including a full-beam owner's suite with a private balcony, the yacht ensures privacy and comfort. Wellness is a core credential on board with a state-of-the-art gym and an al fresco fitness area.
Interior mood
Much like her striking metallic exteriors, Raja²'s interiors are a bold fusion of maximalism and elegance. While the colour palette is filled with taupe, Calacatta Gold marble and woods, pops of colour are introduced through soft furnishings and bold contemporary art. Glossy Canaletto walnut contrasts with sandblasted or bleached Dark Chocolate oak. While soft, natural-toned leathers complete the palette, punctuated by burnt orange and deep wine red.
The yacht's large windows mean that the yacht for charter is flooded with natural light, while indirect lighting further illuminates the space and adds moody lighting in the evening. There is an extensive use of mirrors on board to draw the light into Raja² and let the water shimmer into the interiors and reflect off the surfaces.
The main saloon is particularly eclectic, featuring a plum chaise lounge, a large striped chair and a cascading chandelier feature over the formal dining room. The formal dining area is the first indoor space with curved and sliding floor-to-ceiling glass walls almost make it seem part of the exterior.
Guest accommodation follows the same elegant theme with heavy use of marble and golden tones. Contemporary furniture strikes a contrast between the wood panelled walls, while more mirrors help to draw light into the cabins.
Best deck moments
Deck spaces on board Raja² are vast, and one of the defining features of the yacht for charter. Much like her sistership, Raja² has an impressive open-stern beach club – one of the series’ signature elements. The design is an evolution of the simple swim step and is a deep platform that can be reached from the main deck by a pair of cascading teak steps.
Access to the water on board is excellent, allowing guests to spend more time exploring the yacht's toybox. A submersible platform is rolled out from under the deck to facilitate swimming or water sports. Loose furniture and a portable barbecue store in a space hidden behind the transom door, adjacent to a dayhead and shower.
Fixed sunpads and a seating area can be found up the stairs from the beach club and has shade from the alfresco dining deck above.
The sundeck is equipped with a Jacuzzi and multiple sunbathing spots, while the upper deck offers a spacious circular lounge that can be transformed into a touch-and-go helipad for effortless access at any time - a defining feature of the yacht’s profile. The space can be used for early morning yoga sessions or to enjoy a cocktail before uninterrupted panoramic views.
How many guests does Raja² sleep?
The yacht for charter accommodates up to 12 guests across six cabins, including the main deck owner's suite, which is positioned forward.
Large windows and mirrors draw light into the space, while each cabin has its own elegant bathroom with marble surfaces, dappled textured walls and ornate framed mirrors. The owner’s suite is full beam and has a fold-down balcony to open up the space and sit near the lapping waves.
Toys and wellness
Well-being is a fundamental aspect of the Raja² charter experience, underscored by its impressive, state-of-the-art air-conditioned gym. For those who relish outdoor exercise, the sundeck can transform into an al fresco fitness area, allowing guests to rejuvenate in the embrace of nature.
The yacht boasts an extensive array of brand-new water toys, ensuring endless fun on board. This comprehensive collection includes the latest jet skis, a variety of inflatables, and top-of-the-line diving equipment, catering to both the adventurous spirits and those seeking leisurely exploration.
