The launch of Heesen's Sparta marked a significant milestone for the Dutch boat builder. At an impressive 67 metres LOA, the fully custom yacht stands as the shipyard's largest steel motor yacht to date. Crafted both inside and out by the creative minds at Winch Design, the result is a superyacht that boasts a distinctive, sporty aesthetic with “athletic lines”.

Recently revealed images showcase a captivating interior theme, with each deck symbolising the elements of earth, water and air. BOAT delves into the heart of Sparta to discover the fascinating nature-focused design that makes her one of a kind.

Step aboard Sparta and you enter a realm where each deck tells a unique story. The main deck, a celebration of earth, unfolds with a design tailored for a fun-loving family that revels in entertainment. The spacious main saloon is adorned with dining chairs featuring seat backs upholstered in real palm leaf, offering guests an immersive natural environment.

The centrepiece is a large coffee table crafted from a dark-stained oak trunk, featuring a leaf-shaped, forest green marble top with a leather finish, providing a sensory and 3D effect. Four VIP cabins on the main deck, separated by a panel wall adorned with goatskin vellum in waves of blue, offer both privacy and flexibility. The cabins are finished off with unique tramazite installations above the beds and wave-like carpets.

A hand-crafted tri-deck oak staircase, which winds around the glass elevator, connects the main deck with the other two, further enhancing the feeling of being surrounded by nature on board. Full-length windows seamlessly connect the main saloon to the aft deck, which leads to an open terrace and a 6.5-metre infinity pool, embossed with a Spartan helmet.

Making waves: the lower deck

Diving into the aquatic theme, the lower deck of Sparta is inspired by the water element. Blending the yacht’s wellness area with the calming influence of the ocean, this deck unveils a 65-square-metre Turkish-inspired spa. Here, an elliptical whirlpool, steam room, sauna, gym and beauty area converge to offer an indulgent retreat for those seeking rejuvenation.

Aligned with the design brief's request for “serene and sophisticated styling”, the Turkish bath is adorned with cool ceramics, enhancing the tranquil atmosphere. Fully custom palm leaf-inspired artwork on the circular walls of the wellness area adds a unique touch. Natural light, gently filtering through, bathes the spa in a zen-like ambiance, inviting guests to unwind completely. Beach steps that descend into the water allow guests to connect with the ocean, enhancing the lower deck’s seamless connection with water.

A breath of fresh air: the upper deck

Ascending to the upper deck, Sparta breathes life into the theme of air. The focal point of her layout is a pair of owner's suites. The 56-square-metre master suite aft evokes an airy feeling with its soft fabrics, calming sky blues, intricate mother-of-pearl inlays and an abstract-patterned Tai Ping carpet. The generous bathroom and shower facilities make the space feel more like an apartment than a suite. Sliding doors that lead to the private owner’s aft deck add further exclusivity to the space. Adorned with sun loungers meticulously crafted by luxury German brand Siebensee, the private aft deck sets the stage for stargazing or an outdoor cinema under the night sky, with a formal dining area complementing the setting.

Moving forward, the second owner's suite, spanning a more expansive 62 square metres, has a bright, open feel thanks to full-length windows that welcome abundant natural light. Centred around the theme of space, a captivating constellation wall artwork becomes the visual focal point. For those seeking a panoramic escape, the private owner's foredeck offers 360-degree views, complete with inviting sunpads for basking in the open air.

Sparta is currently listed for sale at €99,000,000. For more information, contact the team at Heesen today.
