Official opening of YCCS Virgin Gorda and inaugural Caribbean Superyacht Regatta & Rendezvous

On Wednesday 16 March, in the presence of superyacht owners and VIPs from around the world, Yacht Club Costa Smeralda and Victor International unveiled the new Yacht Club Costa Smeralda Marina (YCCS Marina), in North Sound Virgin Gorda, British Virgin Islands (BVI).

The inauguration of the new marina took place with a ceremonial ribbon cutting led by David V. Johnson, Chairman of Victor International and the driving force behind the development of YCCS Virgin Gorda. This momentous occasion also marked the first day of the inaugural Caribbean Superyacht Regatta & Rendezvous , organized in partnership with Boat International Media.

With spectacular views of the 19 incredible superyachts moored stern-to on the dock below, owners and VIPs enjoyed a champagne reception on the YCCS Lawn and witnessed the hoisting of the event flag, commencing four days of fun on the water around the spectacularly beautiful British Virgin Islands.

'The Caribbean Superyacht Regatta & Rendezvous is the first of many prestigious yachting events which YCCS intends to organize in the beautiful waters of the British Virgin Islands', commented Riccardo Bonadeo, Commodore of the YCCS.

The Caribbean Superyacht Regatta & Rendezvous brings together sail and motor yacht enthusiasts to take advantage of the best cruising waters in the Caribbean. Sailing yacht owners will enjoy three days of racing, with the overall winner of the Regatta presented with the Boat International Media Trophy.
