The 56.1-metre Oceanco motor yacht The Wellesley, which starred as The Wellington in the yachting reality TV show Below Deck Mediterranean, has rejoined the market with David Westwood at TWW Yachts.

Built in steel and aluminium by Dutch yard Oceanco to a design by Gerhard Gilgenast, she was delivered in 1993, completely rebuilt in 2016 and received a full repaint as recently as 2021. The Wellesley has proven to be a highly successful charter yacht in the years since, owed in part to her voluminous Donald Starkey interior, which accommodates 12 guests in six cabins.

The Wellesley is asking €12,000,000 (ex VAT)

These comprise an owner's suite and convertible twin on the upper deck, another convertible twin on the main deck and a second master suite, double and twin on the lower deck, all with en suite bathroom facilities.

The interior (and the yacht's name) is inspired by the boutique Knightsbridge hotel, The Wellesley, as seen in the "luxurious Art Deco" decor, 1920s linen and the Cigar Club Lounge, a custom space outfitted in rich leathers and woodwork. The latter was a feature requested by the yacht's original owner and hotelier Khalid Affara, who spoke to BOAT International about the build back in 2021.

On the main deck, the generous saloon offers a relaxed ambiance with soft furnishings surrounded by warm woods, panoramic windows and a gloss white ceiling with soft lighting. Separate and forward of the lounge, the formal dining room offers a beautifully finished round table, easily seating 10 guests in style for formal dinners or special occasions.

The Wellesley boasts "some of the largest open deck spaces of any 56-metre on the water", according to her broker, making her "the ideal yacht for entertaining family and friends". She offers exterior dining on both the main and sundeck, as well as multiple sun lounging and relaxation areas. The sundeck also features a sizeable Jacuzzi which is sheltered from prying eyes when docked in port.

The skylounge on the upper deck is where the elegant, minimalist theme is continued on board this yacht for sale. Here, guests will find the comfortable atmosphere ideal for socialising or simply retreating for a quiet moment alone. A sofa, occasional chairs, coffee table and writing desk complete this area.

Twin 1,530hp MTU diesel engines allow a cruising speed of 13 knots, topping out at 16 knots.

The Wellesley is asking €12,000,000 (ex VAT).
