More news just in from Mark Duncan at Yachting Partners International: Mike Rich is central agent for the sale of Perini Navi's 35.97m cruising superyacht Gitana, while Will Bishop has signed Royal Huisman's award-winning 52m schooner Meteor for sale, jointly with Kevin Merrigan of Northrop and Johnson.
Gitana was designed and built by Fabio Perini himself, the only superyacht in the Perini Navi fleet to have this distinction. Delivered in 1989, the ketch sleeps nine guests in three cabins, along with five crew. Her asking price is €8.5 million.
Meteor is in a class of her own, having won an unprecedented three awards at the 2008 World Superyacht Awards. Built in 2007 to a design by Dykstra Naval Architects, the superyacht also carried off the winner's trophy at this year's St Barth's Bucket. Her classic John Munford interior has expansive room for six guests in three cabins plus a crew of 12. Meteor will be available to view at this week's Fort Lauderdale Boat Show but is not for sale to US residents while in US waters.
