The classic 28 meter Gaff Ketch EILEEN II is a truly remarkable classic, boasting an incredible history matched only by the quality of her construction.
Built for the Glasgow tobacco magnate Robert French and launched as Albyn in 1934, she is part of the illustrious line of sturdy cruiser/racers from the pen of Alfred Mylne. Built by Alexander Stephen & Sons in Scotland, the quality and method of construction using teak planks on steel frames is unsurpassed for strength and rigidity.

After a major re-build in 1986, under the name of GALASHIEL, this yacht received the award for the best interpreter of tradition at the Imperia Classic Yacht Rally, with her interior and deck detailing highly praised.

EILEEN II can comfortably accommodate up seven guests in four cabins. Her interior is a unique step back to another, more charming, time with incredible detailing and craftsmanship on display.

The saloon is perhaps the most impressive interior feature, with an open Jøtul cast iron retracted fireplace which has been gold plated, two beautiful dining tables to port and starboard, snug lounges and a magnificent leaded skylight.

With her present owner for some 25 years, EILEEN II is commercially registered under the Norwegian flag, and has enjoyed yearly surveys to keep her in class. Between 2013 - 2015 a huge amount was invested in EILEEN’s order and condition and she is now ready to deliver for several generations of happy owners, and carry on the glorious tradition she has built up over 83 years.
