T__he seventh edition of the Perini Navi Cup is set to get underway with three days of racing from September 19 – 22. Here are some of the standout competitors preparing to race for the 2018 cup.

Capable of reaching speeds of 25 knots, this iconic 88 metre three-masted yacht will be the one to beat in the Perini Navi Cup. With her radical unstayed masts and FalconRig, Maltese Falcon has become one of the most recognisable sailing yachts in the world and was hailed as a triumph of design when she was launched in 2006. With interiors by Ken Freivoch, Maltese Falcon can accommodate 12 guests across six staterooms, as well as a crew of 17.

Blush

Formerly known as Helios, the 45.26 metre yacht was renamed Blush after her recent sale in July. Launched in 2007 and built to a design by Ron Holland, Blush is seen racing regularly on the international circuit and is a combination of a cruising yacht with excellent sailing performance. She accommodates eight guests across four staterooms comprising a master suite, VIP stateroom and two twins. A further three cabins sleep six crewmembers.

Spirit of the C’s

Claiming the title as the largest aluminium sailing yacht in the world, the 64 metre ketch Spirit of the C's has proven her sailing record in past Perini Navi regattas. Designed by Ron Holland and Nuvolari Lenard, Spirit of the C’s features a number of spacious outdoor areas and accommodates 10 guests across five staterooms, including a full beam master.

Seahawk

Sporting stylish carbon fibre rigging in eye-catching red, Seahawk was the first of Perini Navi’s 60 metre series with a ketch rig. Launched in 2013, she features enhanced sailing systems and is a multiple award winner. She accommodates 12 guests across five staterooms in an interior designed by Christian Liaigre.

Victoria A

This 43 metre yacht launched in 2004 features the same profile as the 56 metre, but with a more powerful sail plan for an enhanced performance and higher top speed. Accommodation is for 10 guests in five staterooms in minimalist interiors designed in-house by Perini Navi in collaboration with the owners.

Acquarius

According to Perini Navi, this 46 metre yacht “set the standard for an entire generation of Perini Navi yachts” on her launch in 1990. She features a full beam aft cockpit, spacious flybridge and forward facing dining area with a 180 degree view with a top speed of 14 knots. She can accommodate a total of 10 guests with a crew of eight.
