Arcadia Yachts launches second 24m A80 yacht model

Italian shipyard Arcadia Yachts has announced the launch of the second unit from its A80 series (also known as A80new) at its facilities in Torre Annunziata, Italy.

The yacht's sale was announced in October last year, only a few weeks after the first unit made its world premiere at the Cannes Yachting Festival. According to the builder, the second yacht will be based in Ibiza following her delivery.

The key driver of the A80 was to work within a LOA of 23.98 metres, allowing owners greater flexibility when mooring and cruising while complying with the "latest [environmental] regulations" regarding Mediterranean seagrass. The yard also previously noted the model's "latest-generation solar panels" and advanced energy management systems as proof of this ethos of sustainability.

Meticulous attention to detail is showcased throughout the yacht's interiors, with great importance given to the types of natural stone used to decorate the bathrooms. For example, the basins are carved from solid blocks of Calacatta Macchia Vecchia, while the cladding, countertops and floors in the guest cabins are Bianco di Lasa, chosen to "enhance the brightness and elegance of these spaces".

Completing the project is a bespoke selection of loose furniture and finishings, developed in close collaboration with the owner.

Comfort is also a key design feature on board, as demonstrated through a generously sized main deck, 80-square-metre upper deck and large living area for four crew members. The distinctive five-cabin layout - including a spacious master suite - offers significantly more accommodation than the standard in this category.

Other design highlights onboard the 131GT yacht include the sundeck, which features a television lounge, mini bar and the range's first external helm station, and a multi-functional garage for tenders and sports equipment.

“Every launch is an emotional experience for us because it encapsulates the hard work of so many people and the relationship we build daily with the owner,” said Ugo Pellegrino, founder and CEO of Arcadia Yachts. “A80 is a good expression of what we believe in: listening to owners, consistent design and a boat designed to be lived in and not just admired. This is what gives yacht building meaning for us: creating spaces that offer time, calm and a deeper connection with the water.”

The shipyard celebrated the launch of the first unit late last year. BOAT International stepped on board in March for a closer look at the series.
