The fourth unit in the Amels 80 series has made the journey from Damen Yachting's site in Galati, Romania to Vlissingen in the Netherlands, where she will begin outfitting. Delivery is scheduled for 2027.
The largest offering in the yard's popular Limited Editions range, the Amels 80 is characterised by a masculine, sturdy Espen Øino exterior, with interiors completed by Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design. The sale of this unit was announced in 2024, with Fraser sales brokers Stuart Larsen and Jan Jaap Minnema representing the client throughout the process.
"This addition to the Amels Limited Editions fleet continues the tradition of combining customisation, proven technology and efficiency, which has captivated a diverse range of owners," said project manager Danker Rijk. "We are delighted to welcome this Amels 80 to our yard in Vlissingen to commence the outfitting phase. This is an exciting milestone and step towards delivering another exceptional yacht on schedule for 2027.”
Details on the specific hull are confidential at this point, though model highlights include a 200-square-metre sundeck, a dedicated owner's deck, a 6.5-metre swimming pool and a foredeck helipad. Another area worth mentioning is the beach club, which serves as a fully-fledged waterfront lounge with opening sea terraces and access to the spa, sauna, gym, Hammam and massage room.
Key numbers include a 12.5-metre beam and a volume of 2,175GT, with capacity for 14 guests and 20 crew.
According to BOATPro, Amels has 11 yachts currently in build or on order, five of which belong to the Amels 80 series. This month, the Dutch yard celebrated the successful sea trials of the first Amels 80, which was snapped up by a buyer a mere six months from the project's beginning.
