The 46.7m superyacht Air (hull 15147) was delivered by Heesen Yachts two days ago.

Built in steel and aluminium, Air is the sixth of the successful full-displacement 47m series from the duo of Heesen Yachts and Omega Architects, Omega Architects being also responsible for the interior. Easily distinguishable from her sisters, Air is the first to sport a completely white paint job.

Lloyd’s classed and MCA compliant, her interior layout has accommodation for 12 guests in a master, two doubles and two twin staterooms plus two Pullmans. Five double cabins provide room for 10 crew.

Twin 1,160kW MTU engines give a maximum speed of 15.5 knots and a cruising range of 4,000 nautical miles at 12 knots.

Air is now cruising the Atlantic en route to Gibraltar for Christmas day. This delivery is a fine result for Heesen Yachts, which had a very good year in 2010 with the delivery of five yachts and orders for six new ones ranging from 35 metres to 65 metres.
