Lynx Yachts enters new territory with Adventure 32

Dutch custom yard Lynx Yachts has announced plans to tackle a new segment of the market with its Adventure 32 yacht, developed in collaboration with Bernd Weel Design.

The first in the Lynx Adventure series, the 32.5 metre Adventure 32 is equally well suited for relaxing in the Med or exploring the globe, as Filippo Rossi, sales and marketing manager at Lynx Yachts, explains: “We are targeting a visionary kind of client with contemporary tastes – someone who is hungry for new experiences and eager to explore the world.”

This dual personality can be seen in the rugged steel hull, ideal for unrestricted cruising, as well as the versatile 60 square metre aft deck, which can be used for carrying a great amount of tenders and superyacht water toys, or simply relaxing in the sun.

A choice of layouts is available with up to ten guests and ten crewmembers accommodated, but despite this the Lynx Adventure 32 does not exceed the 200GT mark.

The aft deck can carry tenders or be completely cleared for beach club use

Power comes from a pair of Caterpillar C18 engines that propel the Adventure 32 to a top speed of 15 knots. Comfortable cruising is possible at 13.5 knots and when trimmed back to an economic speed of 11 knots the range rises to 2,700 nautical miles.

Although this is the start of a completely new range for Lynx Yachts, the family resemblance with the successful YXT range of superyacht support vessels is clear and this rugged aesthetic is sure to turn heads worldwide.

The naval architecture of the Adventure 32 was developed in collaboration with Diana Yacht Design

“The Adventure 32 is another fantastic example of what Lynx Yachts is all about – she embodies our values of top quality Dutch construction, excellent sea-keeping qualities and uncompromising style and comfort. It’s an approach to yacht building you would expect from a team who are sailors at heart with a true passion for the sea,” Rossi concludes.

Other superyacht projects currently under development at the Dutch yard include the Adventure 24 and the Adventure 38, which will see the Lynx Yachts range expand even further in 2018.
