Discover the secret superyachts lying in Greece

20 March 2023 • Written by Laura Nicholls for PrivatSea

Athens is a destination that needs no introduction. With a history dating back thousands of years, Greece's capital city is home to many stunning landmarks, but there’s more to the city than ancient ruins. Two legendary spectacles lie inside Athen’s state-of-the-art marina – the 76-metre Lady Sarya and the 135-metre Minerva.

These standout vessels are not just in Athens to show off their impressive statures and classic lines, there’s there to find new owners who are keen to invest in glamorous yachts with incredible stories. The brokers at PrivatSea are keeping them primed and ready for any potential owner to step on board and marvel at the yachts’ charming interiors.

Minerva

The 135m boutique cruiser Minerva

When stepping on board the luxury liner Minerva, an owner or guest will find a wealth of amenities designed for rest, recreation and relaxation. The boutique cruise vessel has space for up to 300 guests in 190 suites and can be used in a variety of ways.

Among her long list of first-class amenities, Minerva features four lounges and four restaurant and bar areas. She also houses a swimming pool, an internet lounge, a 5,000-volume library, a games room, a wellness centre and medical clinic.

Minerva can easily serve as a floating hotel or unique events space. Her eight-deck set-up could also work well as a support vessel.

For owners looking to personalise the vessel, the refit experts at PrivatSea’s Talos Shipyard in Greece are on hand to offer quality services at competitive rates. The team suggest that Minerva’s layout could be adapted to host a helicopter hud, a tender area, extra crew and living areas, or a unique office HQ.

Lady Sarya

The 76m celebrity party yacht Lady Sarya

The 76-metre Lady Sarya is slightly smaller than Minerva but she comes with the same, if not more, lavish settings. Despite being refitted in 2020, the intricate and vintage details of the interior, such as the rich antiques and artisan woodwork, remain to enhance her nostalgic twentieth-century charm.

Since the 1970s, Lady Sarya has served as a floating party palace for celebrities including Frank Sinatra, Michael Caine and the James Bond actors Sean Connery and Roger Moore.

Aside from hosting poolside cocktail evenings and onboard dinner parties, Lady Sarya has taken her owners and guests to many of the world’s best superyacht hotspots.

She’s laden with amenities to make any stay at sea comfortable. The large swimming pool, with a depth of 1.45 metres, dominates the upper deck. It’s a one-of-a-kind feature – as is the large master suite. One of six cabins on board, the 100-square-metre master stateroom features a balcony, a sitting room, a dressing suite and two bathrooms.

Lady Sarya also has many lounges, bars and dining areas, plus space for up to 36 crew members. All decks on the sturdy steel and aluminium vessel are served by a bespoke elevator.

Depending on how her next owner envisages using the yacht, she can be refitted with a new interior layout to sleep 17 guests. Another option could be to transform her into a support vessel with accommodation for up to 49 guests or crew.

Characterised by her unmistakable twin funnels, Lady Sarya is the perfect yacht for an owner seeking a standout vessel steeped in maritime history.

If you’re in Greece and in the market for a classic vessel, a visit to Lady Sarya and/or Minerva is a recommended experience. To arrange a visit or for more information, contact the brokers at PrivatSea directly:
