French designer Remi Tessier and his firm, Dernier Etage (DES), have reached a confidential commercial settlement with WhatsApp co-founder Jan Koum in a high-profile dispute concerning the latter's luxury property and two superyachts.
In court documents filed in October to the Southern District court of New York, Tessier's legal team moved to dismiss Koum's application for US discovery, calling it a "retributive campaign" to damage Tessier's reputation and breach the confidentiality of ongoing arbitrations in London and Paris.
