Shirley Robertson OBE welcomed guests to day one of the conference and outlined the themes shaping this year’s programme, from emerging technologies and sustainability to collaboration, wellbeing and the future luxury consumer.
Shirley said: "We'll be exploring the big questions about what comes next and how to appeal to a Gen Z market with entirely new expectations, what the future for battery power looks like on the water and where the superyacht market is heading after an extremely eventful 2025. Then there's the topic on everyone's lips: AI. Things have moved at an extraordinary pace since we first introduced this subject to the stage only two years ago."
She continued: "How things have progressed – what seemed like an abstract concept is now a seismic shift. The challenge we face now is to harness its immense power without losing sight of craftsmanship, creativity and the values that define this industry. Across the festival, you'll be hearing voices pushing boundaries and challenging us all to rethink what is possible."
