On Thursday 24 September 2026 during the Monaco Yacht Show, BOAT International and Feadship hosted the exclusive Young Designer of the Year Networking Brunch for the next generation of superyacht design talent at the Feadship lounge in the Wine Palace.
The event brought together entrants to the Young Designer of the Year Award, members of the judging panel and members of the Feadship team for an intimate morning of networking and mentorship. As the official sponsor of the Young Designer of the Year Award, Feadship has long championed emerging designers, providing them with a platform to showcase their vision and gain recognition within the superyacht community.
The Young Designer of the Year Award challenges aspiring superyacht designers to respond to a design brief set by Feadship, pushing them to demonstrate creativity, technical skill and an understanding of the evolving demands of yacht ownership.
The winning design will be announced at the Superyacht Design Festival, taking place in Kitzbühel from 31 January to 2 February 2027, where the industry's leading designers, yacht owners and design enthusiasts gather to talk about the emerging trends in superyacht design.
The brunch featured remarks from Tanno Weeda, head of design at Feadship, and Roger Lean-Vercoe, chairman of the Young Designer of the Year Award.
