We thrive on challenges, actively seeking out innovative and unusual projects where interior craftsmanship is fused with complex exterior engineering. We are committed to designing, engineering and building our yachts in a responsible way; from improving energy usage to running a responsible business and contributing to society. Today, Oceanco has three extensive state-of-the-art building facilities that allow for maintenance, refit and lifetime extension activities. The outfitting facilities boast ecological enhancements as well as updated state-of-the-art technologies. This eco-conscious expansion is one more step in Oceanco’s mission to be one of the world’s most sustainable yacht builders.
Oceanco has a solid reputation as a yard that thrives on things that have never been done before. With 33 yachts delivered to date, Oceanco has produced some of the world’s most iconic yachts such as 82m Alfa Nero, the first-ever infinity pool which converts to a helipad and dancefloor; the industry’s first 91.5m PYC yacht Tranquility; the 85m sailing yacht Aquijo – the largest performance ketch in the world; the 110m KAOS — the largest yacht built in the Netherlands at the time of her launch; the 106.7m DynaRig three-mast sailing yacht Black Pearl — the largest and most ecologically oriented sailing yacht in the world; the 90m DeBasto-designed motor yacht DAR with an unprecedented glass-dominated superstructure; the 109m motor yacht Bravo Eugenia – the first Oceanco to utilise its innovative LIFE design and the 90m DreAMBoat, a first-time collaboration between two of the most renowned yacht designers in the superyacht world – Espen Øino International for the exterior and Terence Disdale Design for the interior.
Each of these yachts is groundbreaking in its own way and have had the honour of winning multiple industry awards and accolades. Several exciting new superyachts are currently under construction, one of which measures 125 meters in length and is set to become the largest project of its kind ever undertaken in the Netherlands.
As a long-standing partner, Oceanco is pleased to support the Young Designer of the Year Award again in conjunction with BOAT International. Winning this prestigious award is an important milestone in the career of student and trainee designers. At Oceanco, we follow new design talent with great interest and are pleased to be able to encourage and celebrate their vision.
