Book it now: The Business of Design Summit 2018

The first Business of Design Summit will take place in London on November 21 offering a fascinating insight into the worlds of design, luxury, property and more.

The Business of Design network was founded in 2016 by Karen Howes, chief executive of the Taylor Howes design studio, and, with the 2018 Business of Design Summit, expands its scope beyond interior design to discuss topics including the power of the next generation to reshape the luxury industry, how to pitch to the world’s most discerning customers and creating human-centred design experiences.

The one-day event will kick off with a talk by Winston Chesterfield of Wealth X on micro-marketing to the super-wealthy before Liaigre’s Christophe Caillaud offers his insight into the need for even the best-known brands to keep innovating and evolving. Next up a Boat International-curated panel, featuring representatives from the likes of Ocean Independence, Knight Frank and the Dorchester Collection, will discuss the advancement of human experience in design followed by a debate led by journalist Henrietta Thompson on the value of craftsmanship with Moritz Grossman, William & Son, DKT Artworks and London Connoisseur.

The afternoon will see the likes of One Menagerie, Bremont, Lodha and Princess Yachts discuss the needs of a new generation of high-net worth clients before writer Susan D’Aarcy chairs the final panel of the day, debating the important of tailored experiences, with Cookson Adventures, SeaNet, Heathrow VIP and Honest Grape.

Throughout the day guests will also be able to participate in a series of masterclasses focusing on professional development, business growth, customer engagement and networking tips. These will be led by renowned experts including communications coach Robin Kermode, business coach Shweta Jhajharia and author Andy Bounds.

There will also be plenty of opportunities for networking and socialising over lunch and afternoon tea while delegates, who will be representing companies including Hermes, Ralph Lauren, Lalique and Chelsea FC, will be able to reflect on the day’s learnings with a champagne reception after the final session.

The Business of Design Summit will take place at the Gladstone Library on November 21. For more information visit businessofdesign.co.uk or to reserve your tickets call 020 7349 9017.
