Italian watchmaker Panerai has presented its latest limited-edition watch – the Submersible Chrono Flyback Mike Horn Edition.
Inspired by adventurer Mike Horn, who counts trekking to the North Pole and summitting some of the world’s highest peaks among his achievements, this limited-edition watch was developed as a tool for explorers on land or sea.
Available in a limited edition of 500 pieces, the watch is packed with useful features and able to withstand daunting conditions. Details include a 47mm brushed titanium case, which is both lightweight and highly resistant, and a hard-wearing black matte ceramic ring with a unidirectional bezel.
The watch doubles as a tool for measuring immersion time, with the screw-down chronograph providing superior water resistance down to 300 metres. The watch comes with two straps – a blue rubber strap and a camouflage and rubber strap inspired by Italian Navy uniforms.
This latest collaboration follows a series of partnerships between Horn and Panerai, which champions modern heroes.
It comes after the watchmaker teamed up with German luxury engineering brand BRABUS on the Panerai Submersible S BRABUS Black Ops Edition (PAM01240). In July, Panerai also released a new watch named the Radiomir Eilean, inspired by the 1936 launches of the original Radiomir and classic yacht Eilean.Read More/On board Pangaea with adventurer Mike Horn
