Rolex Quietly Launches New 2020 Models

Today, luxury Swiss watchmaker, Rolex, quashed rumours they would be pushing their 2020 watch releases to next year by unveiling an exciting new range of models, including a new Submariner, Sky-Dweller, Datejust and Oyster Perpetual.

New Rolex Submariner

For those looking to upgrade their dive watch, Rolex has introduced the new generation of its Oyster Perpetual Submariner and Oyster Perpetual Submariner Date. Each features a redesigned, slightly larger 41 mm case and a remodelled bracelet. The new Submariner is fitted with the newly launched calibre 3230 while the Submariner Date with the calibre 3235.

The new Submariner in Oystersteel with a black dial and no date sits alongside three varied styles of the Submariner Date, pictured below. The latter is available in a yellow Rolesor version with a blue dial, an Oystersteel with a black dial and a green bezel, and finally, 18 ct white gold with a black dial and a blue bezel.

New Rolex Sky-Dweller

The new 18 ct gold Sky-Dweller with a 42mm case is a beautiful statement piece. Complete with a fluted, rotating bezel against a black sunray finish dial and a calibre 900. 

It is the first time the Sky-Dweller has been fitted with an Oysterflex bracelet, featuring an Oysterclasp and the Rolex Glidelock extension system, for extended comfort. This new 2020 model is also available in Everose Gold with a white or chocolate dial.

New Rolex Oyster Perpetual

Two new Oyster Perpetuals join the ranks in this new launch, including the Oyster Perpetual 41, which replaces the 39mm model, and the Oyster Perpetual 36. 

Each features a domed bezel and a calibre 3230, but none has the date. The 41 is available in either a silver or black sunray-finish with 18ct gold markers, while the new 36mm is available in five vibrant lacquer dials.

New Rolex Datejust

The new Oyster Perpetual Datejust 31 comes in four new Rolesor versions including an aubergine sunray finish with a diamond bezel and Roman numerals. Alongside this, there is the mint green sunray finish dial, a white lacquered dial, and finally, a grey sunray finish dial with an 18ct white gold fluted bezel.

Each is fitter with a calibre 2236 movement with a power reserve of approximately 55 hours. Each can be fitted with either the jubilee or the oyster bracelet.
