The ClubSwan 80 is set to disrupt the world of Maxis. Unveiled by Nautor’s Swan at the tail end of last year, this latest project joins the shipyard’s fleet of performance racers based on speed, innovation, technology and competitive sailing potential.
The brief was to create a maxi yacht for real-time racing in a One Design class and plugs the gap between its popular ClubSwan 50, the foil-assisted ClubSwan 36 and the in-build flagship ClubSwan 125.
The ClubSwan 80 is built almost entirely from carbon for the lightest displacement and fastest possible speed. A 440 m² sail plan is complemented by a retractable bowsprit and internal spinnaker retrieval system; below the waterline, the model features a canting lifting keel and twin rudders.
While the model is tailored to owners looking to take to the helm, exhilarating performance and light displacement make this yacht a dream for every sailor.
Construction on the first unit is already underway at Persico Marine, strategic partner in the construction of the ClubSwan 80.
