€1M price cut on new-build Sanlorenzo 40 Alloy motor yacht
by Malcolm Maclean
Currently under construction in aluminium at the Italian yard to ABS class and MCA coded, the 10th hull in the 40 Alloy series is due for delivery in June 2018. Accommodation is currently configured for ten guests in five cabins, all with entertainment centres, Samsung LCD television screens and en-suite bathroom facilities. There will also be additional quarters for six crew aboard this yacht for sale.
She is essentially a two-and-a-half deck design, with an internal raised pilot station and a main deck saloon. The main deck aft area is designed for al fresco entertaining with a built-in six-seater settee, table and space for a bar if required, while the upper aft deck will offer a dining table, an L-shaped sofa with five loose chairs, one large sunbathing area with space for storage, a galley/bar and teak decking.
Further notable features include four sea balconies and two gullwing doors plus a dumb waiter rising from the galley to the flybridge.
Twin MTU 16V2000 M96 diesel engines will give her a cruising speed of 20 knots and a range of 1,200 nautical miles at 12 knots, while Naiad zero speed fin stabilisers guarantee a smooth ride.
Available for inspection at the yard, the Sanlorenzo 40m Alloy is now asking €17,900,000.
