A new central agency has been announced on the 50.4-metre Feadship superyacht Emerald, now listed for sale with Richard Higgins and Matt Palmer of Northrop & Johnson

Emerald was originally delivered by the Dutch yard in 1990, built to an exterior design and naval architecture from De Voogt Naval Architects. After she was purchased by her current owners in 2021, she underwent an extensive rebuild at Balk Shipyard, with Mulder Design responsible for the new design.

The works, completed in 2023, saw a completely new interior crafted by Design Unlimited, while the hull extension created one of the largest aft main deck spaces in her class. She also benefitted from a complete exterior repaint – in Orion Green for the hull and Aquila White for the superstructure – as well as new exterior layouts and upgraded technical systems.

To recognise the works completed, Emerald was a finalist at the 2024 World Superyacht Awards. Her broker noted that she "offers a unique opportunity to acquire a timeless Feadship that has been fully rebuilt to exceptional standards".

Together with Design Unlimited, the owners opted for a modern and timeless theme for her new interior, which now accommodates up to 12 guests in six cabins, including a forward-facing master and neighbouring VIP suite. Below, the four remaining guest suites are situated on the lower deck.

The main saloon is now an open-plan design with a small partition separating the lounge and dining area. Meanwhile, the bridge deck saloon was extended, as was the bridge deck cockpit, where a single new crane replaces the two original cranes to assist with manoeuvring the yacht’s toys in and out of the water. When the space is clear of equipment, it can be used as an outdoor lounge and leisure area.

The rebuilt sundeck was also extended and now features a large spa bath forward, a cosy seating area, sunbeds and a wet bar to form the perfect space to enjoy the sun.

As part of the rebuild, the yacht’s mast and superstructure archway were also redesigned to suit the modernised superyacht and the new equipment fitted to it.

Much of the equipment on board Emerald has been replaced with brand-new navigation systems, AV/IT communication systems and two zero-speed Quantum extendable stabilisation fins. The engines and generators, which were new in 2015, have been fully serviced up to date.

The 470GT yacht for sale can reach a top speed of 14 knots and will cover a range of 6,200 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 11 knots.

Emerald is asking €21,000,000 with VAT paid.
