John DeCaro at All Ocean Yachts sends me full details of a new build multi-purpose explorer yacht he's signed for sale, the 31.4m project currently named BC 103.
To be built in China to a design by Luiz de Basto, the mission profile for the BC 103 was to create a multi purpose Explorer based on the highly innovative design concept of the 90' and 100' cockpit explorers from All Ocean.
The concept is to meet a number of different niche specifications without major redesigns and in a cost efficient manner by utilising the same construction platform as the other yachts in this series, the same specifications, sea keeping abilities, long range features and flexible interior arrangements.
Accommodation is for 11 guests in five staterooms and twin Caterpillar 450hp engines will give her a range of 4,000 nautical miles.
Due for delivery in 2014, the BC 103 is asking $8.195 million.
