Bartram & Brakenhoff sells new-build 50m McMullen & Wing superyacht with Burgess

8 April 2014 • Written by Malcolm MacLean

Bartram & Brakenhoff found a buyer to complete the McMullen & Wing 50m steel-and-aluminium expedition motor yacht, yard number 1016, with Burgess acting as central agent for sale.

Inspired by the award-winning success of New Zealand-based yacht builder McMullen & Wing’s 45m expedition superyacht Big Fish, which went on to achieve an extraordinary charter track record, styling, naval architecture and engineering will be another collaborative effort between the buyer's project team, Gregory C Marshal Naval Architects and McMullen & Wing’s extensive in-house design team.

Up to 12 guests will be accommodated in five staterooms and the contemporary interior, also designed by Gregory C Marshall Naval Architects, will showcase natural materials in a relaxed modern ambience. Light, airy interior spaces flow seamlessly onto extensive decks on all levels. Bulwark balconies will allow the floor-to-ceiling glazed doors from the dining space to frame a spectacular vista, while also providing the ultimate sunbathing location, suspended over the water. The breathtaking owners’ suite on the bridge deck aft, will open onto its own private garden deck.

Delivery is scheduled for 2016.
