The 26.2 metre sailing yacht China Grove II, listed for sale by Cameron Bray at Northrop & Johnson, has been sold with the buyer introduced by Steve Jenkins at SJ Boats.
Built in GRP by Boatspeed with exterior styling and interior design by Paul Stanyon, China Grove II was delivered in 2001 and has been regularly upgraded since, including a full refit in 2012. Accommodation is for up to six guests in three cabins comprising a master suite, VIP suite and a twin, all with entertainment centres, satellite television screens and en-suite bathroom facilities. A further twin cabin can sleep two crewmembers.
Her large open-plan saloon comes with all the amenities to facilitate relaxation and dining, including an entertainment centre with a large screen LCD television and a Bose stereo surround sound system. On deck, an oversized open-plan cockpit offers plenty of space for al fresco entertaining and dining.
China Grove II is a sloop-rigged yacht with in-boom furling, a fully battened mainsail and self-tacking headsail. These sails are managed entirely by concealed captive hydraulic winches. The winches are located centrally at the foot of the mast and below the waterline for maximum sailing performance, giving her speeds of up to 13 knots. Under power, a single 286hp Volvo Penta diesel engine allows a comfortable cruising speed of nine knots.
China Grove II was asking $2,000,000.
