Carbon Ocean Yachts 82 Hull #2 signed for sale by Ocean Independence

A new breed of fast sailing yachts comes on the market as Jim Acher at Ocean Independence tells me he's signed the yet to be built Hull #2 of the 25m series from Carbon Ocean Yachts of Rhode Island, USA.

Jim says that this new series of pure-bred cruiser/racer sailing yachts simply offer performance like no other. Using the latest construction techniques, the hulls are built of pre-preg carbon fibre, giving enormous weight savings and blistering pace. With just a 3 or 4 day transformation, a soft, elegant and fast cruiser, becomes an ultra high-performance racer.

Carbon Ocean Yachts has succeeded in building and offering a platform capable of both roles without compromise, accommodating six guests in three staterooms. Hull number 1, called Aegir is already built and can be inspected in the Mediterranean to appreciate the yard’s quality first-hand. She'll also be available to view in Monaco this Friday July 29th between 10am and 2pm and the asking price of Hull #2 is $8,995 million.
