The 31 metre catamaran motorsailer yacht Ice Lady Patagonia II, listed for sale by Mediterranean Yachts in Spain, has been sold in an in-house deal with Bobby McDougall representing both the seller and the buyer.
Built in aluminium by Argentinian yard Astillero Tecnao, Ice Lady Patagonia II was delivered in 2012 as the flagship of the Argentinian Oceanographic Foundation and has circumnavigated the South American coast along with completing several research expeditions. Accommodation, split between her twin hulls, is for up to 10 guests in five cabins comprising two doubles and three twins, all with full en suite facilities. Crew quarters are for a staff of up to six persons.
The raised pilothouse comes with twin helm chairs, a dining area for up to 30 guests, seating for 12 guests and a country kitchen style galley including a dinette for casual meals through the day.
With proven transatlantic capability and transpacific range, she presents an opportunity for an owner to undertake worldwide voyages in her present expedition condition, or she could alternatively provide the basis for a luxury refit which harnesses her massive solid construction and impressive volume.
Under power, twin 434hp Yanmar diesel engines allow a cruising speed of 9.5 knots topping out at 13.5 knots and a cruising range of 5,700 nautical miles at 7.5 knots.
Ice Lady Patagonia II was asking $2,450,000.
