Alex Clarke at Denison Yacht Sales sends me news of a new construction project he has exclusive rights to market. Alex is working with Sergio Cutolo of HydroTec Creative Naval Architecture to offer a custom 68m motor yacht project to the market. Currently called HydroTec Explorer, this superyacht can be presented to an individual buyer or a shipyard can choose to build this impressive global explorer and the length can be extended up to 75-plus metres.

Key features are: an infinity pool, helicopter landing deck, cinema, large upper deck private master study & suite, wine cellar, extra refrigeration & freezers for extensive passages of 6000-7500nm range depending on tank configurations, guest accommodation for up to 16 plus the owners, ability to carry up to 45ft tenders with multiple toys, dive center with decompression chamber & custom storage. Alex is also exploring utilizing Azipod technology versus the typical straight shaft and can incorporate diesel electric power plants to make the yacht more efficient during her operations, not to mention lower carbon emissions.

Considering her purpose, Alex pushing the project to feature the Seakeeper 1000 equipment in association with the International Seakeeper Society which he fully supports, believing that whatever buyer decides to move forward with construction on this project will be the type of individual who will fall right in line with those currently in the ‘Admirals Level’ of the International Seakeeper Society.

Final cost will be determined at the conclusion of the design phase once broker and designer sit down with either an individual shipyard or client.
