Mark Duncan at Yachting Partners International sends news that brokers Eric Althaus and Will Allen have signed a new-build 49.9m motor yacht, the AB 166, for sale.
This superyacht offers five spacious en suite guest cabins and, courtesy of triple MTU M93L engines and waterjet propulsion, will reach a staggering maximum speed of 48 knots. “There are so many features of this design that make the AB 166 genuinely unique,” explains YPI Senior Yacht Consultant Eric Althaus. “It has the most original and intelligently thought through master cabin layout I have seen in all my 25 years in this business. Not only is it spacious and well lit, but the owner also benefits from two balconies and exclusive access to a secluded owner’s pool area at the front of the yacht. That’s a winning feature for any owner.”
AB Yachts have a confirmed track record as masters of waterjet propulsion and lightweight construction. Delivery of the first hull of the AB 166 can be made just 24 months from contract signing, at an asking price of €29 million.
