Northrop & Johnson has announced a tie-up with Bray Management to open an office on Australia’s Gold Coast in Burleigh Heads. The new office will provide yacht brokerage, charter management and retail charter services.
One of the largest brokerage firms to open a brick-and-mortar office in Australia, Cameron Bray has been named as the new managing director and Bray Management is now becoming Northrop & Johnson Australia.
As a Gold Coast native Bray has plenty of both local and yachting experience having been involved in the industry as a captain, sales broker, retail charter agent and yacht manager. As well as his hands-on industry experience Bray also sits on the Superyacht Australia committee, which aims to advance Australia’s position within the yachting community.
In a statement announcing the merger Bray said he was “really excited to join the Northrop & Johnson family”.
"Northrop & Johnson is a market leader,” Bray added. “The company’s global intelligence tools, marketing and website add to its personable approach and company culture, which feels very much like a big family. Joining forces with the dynamic team at Northrop & Johnson felt like a natural progression for us. We can now offer complete end-to-end service to Australian clients, both locally and globally, with a dedicated office and team on the ground.”
Bray will be joined in the new office by charter manager Crystal Corrin who has lived on the Gold Coast for more than 10 years.
