Taiwanese yard Ocean Alexander has announced the sale of the final yacht in its limited Ocean Alexander 28E series, with the client represented by Michael Tyrrell of MarineMax Yacht Center. The buyers, first-time Ocean Alexander owners, were introduced through the MarineMax network at a major boat show.
"This transaction was a true team effort," said Tyrrell. "From the first conversation at a show to delivery day, the 28E kept rising to the top for its engineering, elegant designer furnishings and space planning that works for real life."
Designed in collaboration with British studio Evan K. Marshall, the 27.7-metre model offers an on-deck owner’s suite, four additional guest staterooms and a private skylounge, all packaged within an efficient profile that "maximises interior volume and outdoor living".
The multi-functional flex room will serve as the owner's office during longer periods away from the dock, supporting extended cruising.
"The Explorer series captured a clear market desire for greater volume, flexible exterior zones and effortless operation," said Dan Mundy, head of global operations at Ocean Alexander. "It is fitting that the series concludes with clients who took the time to compare the field and chose Ocean Alexander for the total experience, from design to delivery."
Key specs include a 20-knot top speed, a volume of 163GT and a 6.25-metre beam.
The yacht will be kept in Florida, US, with itineraries across the islands and seasonal trips that may include the Northeast.
