More news from Gregory Gheraia at Ocean Independence as he lists for sale the classic canoe-stern 32 metre motor yacht Mizar.
Built by Italian superyacht yard Benetti in steel and aluminium, Mizar was delivered in 1973 with a major refit in 2000. All the interiors were replaced along with new engines and generators plus new equipment in the engine room. A new electrical system was installed and she received new teak decks. In 2010 she had a complete repaint.
Accommodation is for 10 guests in four staterooms consisting of a main deck master suite with a king sized bed, a VIP stateroom with a king sized bed, a double and a twin with two Pullman berths. All staterooms have full en suite facilities.
Mizar has a welcoming interior, featuring warm wooden panelling and floors throughout, complemented by contemporary soft furnishings. The saloon with dining area is open plan, with the lounge aft and dining forward. The saloon leads out onto a shaded aft deck complete with al fresco dining options and seating, perfect for entertaining. Twin diesel engines give her a range of 2,470 nautical miles at her cruising speed of 11 knots.
Lying in the South of France, Mizar is asking €2.2 million with VAT paid.
