Ocean Independence signs classic Feadship Eleanor Allen for sale

3 February 2011 • Written by Malcolm MacLean

I've known for a while now that Peter Thompson and Michael White at Ocean Independence had signed Feadship's classic 34.4m motor yacht Eleanor Allen for sale and now I finally get the okay to broadcast the news.

Built by the De Vries yard in 1979, accommodation is for eight guests in a master suite forward on the main deck, a VIP stateroom and a double and twin cabin. In 2009/2010 Eleanor Allen underwent a comprehensive 18 month refit in which major structural, mechanical and cosmetic improvements were made.  Her interior was stripped back to the bare hull and a new Michael Kirschstein interior was installed, giving her a new lease of life.

Now Lloyds classed and MCA compliant, Eleanor Allen is ready for summer 2011 cruising, asking $8 million.
