Price cut on motor yacht The Highlander at Bradford Marine

Whit Kirland at Bradford Marine Yacht Sales emails me to say the time has come to sell Feadship's 46m motor yacht The Highlander as she's now had a further $1 million price cut.

Ordered by the Forbes family for corporate use and delivered by the De Vries yard in 1986, The Highlander was the successor to a long line of yachts of the same name - most of which have been Feadships. The outstanding lines of her superstructure and her semi-cruising stern were created by Jon Bannenberg, and the yacht's exterior is uniquely green - the colour of money, and a reference to the yacht's staunchly capitalist role. Above all, it represented the ultimate customisation with the implicit declaration that this was a Forbes yacht as much as it was a Feadship.

With five staterooms including a full beam master, there is also the option of converting the main deck observation room into a sixth stateroom. The Highlander features all the luxurious amenities one would expect from this high quality, full displacement hull with great sea keeping abilities and a helipad for quick arrival or departure.

The Highlander is now asking $4.99 million.
