Simon Browne at Southampton Yacht Brokers drops a line to say he has just secured the central listing for a 70m motor yacht which will be built by GMVO in the Netherlands.
This well-proportioned and robust vessel has been designed for an owner who wants to cruise not only the Mediterranean and the Caribbean but also explore more extreme environments such as Antarctica.
Builders GMVO are experienced in building large commercial vessels and have procured a network of highly skilled Dutch craftsmen to make this a truly special yacht which will be very competitively priced. The yacht can be built in aluminium or steel and will be classified by Germanischer Lloyd to carry up to 32 guests and a crew of 12.
It will be up to the new owner to steer the interior design with Southampton Yacht Brokers offering to provide contacts with award-winning interior designers.
Twin 1,000hp engines are envisaged with two conventional shafts and fixed propellers producing a cruising speed of 15 knots.
The GMVO 70m yacht is listed for sale asking £38 million.
