The 24.8 metre sailing yacht Alpina, listed for sale at Bernard Gallay Yacht Brokerage, has been sold to a direct client.
Designed by German Frers, Alpina was built in GRP by Finland’s Nautor’s Swan yard and delivered in 2001 as a Swan 82 model with a refit in 2011. Her performance-oriented hull and clean deck layout plus comfortable internal volumes and wealth of technical features combine to offer outstanding long-range cruising capabilities. She is currently undergoing significant work, including the replacement of the teak decks, installation of a new water maker and fresh paintwork.
Aft of the mast, the accommodation is laid out for an owner’s party of six guests in one double and two twin cabins, all with en-suite facilities.
On the starboard side of the main saloon there is a settee with a coffee table and an entertainment centre with a plasma television screen, video and stereo equipment. To port, there is an L-shaped sofa with a large saloon table and three chairs. The table can be lowered to the level of the saloon seats via an electric motor to create a large lounging area.
As a racer, she has proven herself as an unstoppable force, claiming overall victory in the inaugural season of the Swan Maxi Class with an outstanding win at the 2008 Swan Cup in Porto Cervo.
Under power, a 220hp Yanmar engine provides a range of 1,800 nautical miles.
Alpina was asking €1,490,000.
