The 25th edition of The Superyachts was launched on Friday 23 September in Monaco. Attended by superyacht owners, builders, designers, brokers and diverse members of the industry, the event took place in balmy weather by the poolside of the Méridien Beach Plaza hotel, with stunning views of the sea, yachts at anchor and the coastline of the principality.
Speaking at the occasion, Boat International Media CEO Tony Harris paid tribute to long-standing editor Roger Lean-Vercoe, who had been instrumental in the establishment of the book as a brand in itself and has been at the helm for the last 24 volumes, and Marilyn Mower who took over the editorship for this milestone edition.
To mark the 25 years of the book's existence this volume features 25 yachts instead of the usual 21, and collectors have a choice of three different dust covers, each picturing one of the prominent yachts featured: Eclipse, Palladium and Phoenix². Several of the yachts featured are world exclusives, including Eclipse, the largest private yacht in the world, and 12 of the number have joined the Register of the World's Largest Yachts.
