Built by Bering Yachts to a design by Sabdes Yacht Design, the 23.95m BEYOND CAPRICORN is a true world cruiser and the only Bering 80 currently on the market.
There are very few yachts comparable to BEYOND CAPRICORN. Constructed in steel and delivered in 2017, this yacht’s powerful exterior profile is instantly recognisable. Her towering bow and sweeping sheer, combined with her forward-raking bridge, give BEYOND CAPRICORN a dynamic and progressive appearance as well as provide for exceptional seakeeping. The yacht is extremely well proportioned, with the pilothouse and Portuguese bridge providing the classic explorer look in addition to being very functional.
BEYOND CAPRICORN has accommodation for up to 11 guests in a flexible four or five cabin layout. The arrangement is presently configured for nine guests in four cabins, with a master suite, VIP double and two guest doubles – one of which has an additional Pullman bunk. The fifth cabin is located on the upper deck and currently in use by the captain, although BEYOND CAPRICORN has separate crew quarters for a complement of four.
Thanks to her wide beam, the internal space aboard BEYOND CAPRICORN is impressive. The head room is well above average, and the interior adopts a traditional yachting style with varnished wood panelling and cabinetry.
With a top speed of 12 knots and a range of over 6,000nm at her 9-knot cruising speed, BEYOND CAPRICORN is a true ‘pocket explorer’ that will enable an owner to cruise the world in comfort.
The yacht carries two tenders to aft on the upper deck, leaving the sun deck clear of operational equipment and given over to guest relaxation. The teak sun deck can be sheltered by a clear canvas surround, so it remains useable even in more inclement weather.
Listed for sale by her original owner, a full and detailed maintenance history is available. The boat was built on-spec by the yard and upon acquiring her, the owner set about a significant round of upgrades and enhancements. This is a top-spec yacht with low engine hours, and arguably the flagship Bering 80 with the yard subsequently having received orders for six more.
